Yep, that's right, I have a squirrel now, only for a bit.
We went out today and saw this lil guy wobbling along, he'd sit and cry for his mom. So we stayed away a bit and watched, no mother came for him, when he neared the highway we were done waiting, we scooped him up and brought him home.

Incase people may wonder, no I have never taken care of a squirrel before, but I did do a pile of research when we brought him in and now have him in an old bird cage with a heating mat and some non used towels for him to snuggle under, he is sleeping very soundly right now.

I also do have a good squirrel formula and a recipe for him if he's been near weaned off milk, he so far has refused food but happily welcomes snuggles in my boobs.

I'm excited and nervous, I don't expect him to survive as animals in the wild especially squirrels tend to die in human care generally due to lack of proper care, i've phoned some people and gotten a good nutball recipe that will provide him with all the nutrition he will need.

And no, I will probably not be keeping him as I don't plan to handle him too much, i'd prefer him out in the wild where I know he belongs and will be much happier, for now though i'd like to fatten up the lil guy before setting him out on his own.

For any just coming past this pic, I do have experience rearing and returning wild animals and I do have a fall back plan if he gets very ill, he will be safe in my care, i'll make darn sure of that
